The menu at Ichikawa is a carefully curated selection of the finest Japanese dishes, each prepared with attention to detail and using the freshest ingredients. The sushi, a standout on the menu, features a variety of options, including delicate nigiri, rolls, and sashimi. The fish is always fresh, often sourced directly from Japanese markets, ensuring that each bite is as close to authentic as possible. Whether you’re enjoying a simple tuna nigiri or the more complex flavors of a dragon roll, the taste is always exquisite.

  • yes, sushi is up to expectations of a good one. it's on the expensive side but not sure in Milan u find many others much better than this. service is very kind and attentive. eggplant appetizer and shochu nothing spectacular, but then the budino dessert tasty and delicate. will definitely come back to try the omakase next time so can sit at the sushi counter and observe/admire Master Ichikawa working.

  • We came here for dinner after reading positive reviews. This Japanese restaurant serves both sushi / sashimi along with hot food items. We ordered off the a la carte menu as we were hoping to get a good sampling of their offerings. The sushi is extremely fresh. A good variety of fish was served. We got both a special sushi and special sashimi which came with different types of fish that were marinated in different manners which changed both the texture and the taste in a very positive way. The amount of rice vinegar used was appropriate. They also have a brush at tableside allowing you to control the amount of soy sauce to add onto it needs a fish. I thought this was a very fun detail. For hot food items we ordered the korroke, karaage (fried chicken), yakiniku, and Wagyu udon. These were all delicious and we enjoyed them very much. If there was one feedback that we would give is that the yakiniku was a bit heavy on the sauce which took away from the delicate beef taste. Not sure if this would be feasible, but if this restaurant imported more fish from Japan it would definitely elevate their sushi dishes even more!

  • What an experience! Very high quality. Loved the service and the food. Otoro was really something and all the other creations from "Il Maestro" aka Mr. Ichikawa have been appreciated by the whole table. We've been suggested some sake and it was aligned in terms of taste to what we ordered, not that obvious. I'll be more than happy to be back soon!

  • High quality, fresh ingredients are transformed in delicious food dishes. Good price-quality. Perfect service. Went twice the past few days. The first time 'à la carte', the second time we took the lunch menu.

  • We tried the Omakase-Experience last night with the Sake Degustation and it was amazing! It really was a great food experience! We had a very pleasant chat with the master himself and the restaurant manager. We will definitely come again. Thank you for the special evening Mr. Ichikawa and Team!

  • The omakase experience at Ichikawa is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. The dining space around the kitchen is intimate with just six seats. The Maestro and his chefs are happy to interact with you and answer any questions. Every dish served was impressive and delicious. This is hands down the best sushi in Porta Romana!
